Trainers Needed
Since we receive our horses through various means, it is critical to ensure that all equines passing through our gates are ready for adoption. Part of that process includes evaluating each of them on a case-by-case basis to determine what special needs they may require. Another aspect would be determining how best to utilize the horses (see below list of examples), whether for pleasure riding or competitive events.
With the help of local and nationally recognized trainer’s, we provide minor rehabilitation so horses can lead a productive secondary career. To carry out this ambitious goal, we are always in need of qualified trainers to provide equine foster retraining.
During the retraining period, trainers assume temporary care responsibilities and then return the horse to us in prime condition for adoption. The time and necessary upkeep required throughout the schooling are considered a tax-deductible contribution.

Foster Care An Option
Many times we simply do not have enough room to house all the equines that come into our care and we need a temporary site where they can receive proper attention. Most horses simply require lay-up time, either due to malnutrition or because they may have recently retired from the racing industry.
The Rescue is always looking for individuals with the ability to accommodate our donated animals on a limited basis. This provides a valuable service during a horse’s transition from one way of life into another. All foster care, including your time and supplies, is tax deductible. For more information, please
