Omega Horse Rescue adopts to those 18 years and older that reside in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and areas of New York and Virginia within 5 hours of Airville, PA.
It is our goal to place horses into “forever” homes where they will be cared for the rest of their lives. We strive to find the perfect horse for your lifestyle, home and heart. Omega Horse Rescue reserves the right to deny adoption applications for any reason. Horses are shown by appointment only with an approved adoption application.
Processing applications takes time for our volunteers so please aware that a $25 (non-refundable) fee will be required on all submitted applications. The fee can be paid via PayPal or Venmo. Thank you!
Adoption Rules: By adopting a horse from Omega Horse Rescue, you agree to provide the animal with a caring loving home for the remainder of its life. In the event you no longer want or can't care for the horse it must be returned to us. Horses cannot be sold or rehomed. In addition, adopters cannot breed or race any equine adopted from us. Omega Horse Rescue retains full legal ownership of every equine that comes to the rescue for the rest of its life. This “Protective Ownership” stipulation allows us to legally reclaim a horse if at any time it is found to be in an unsatisfactory situation. This “tough love” rule may seem extreme, but it is intended to ensure the best possible adoption outcome for horses and adopters.
Adoption Process:
Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees vary based on the skill and training of the horse/pony. Rideable horses and ponies begin at $2000. Fees are based on the capabilities and the investment made in them. Companion horse adoption fees begin at $700.
Omega horses are placed with an Omega brand, up to date on coggins, vaccines with boosters, full medical evaluations, riding evaluations (if applicable) and/or professional training (if needed), current dental and farrier, and signed lifetime contract.

We love our Foster Farms!
Typically, foster families will cover routine care including farrier, hay, feed and basic veterinary care. All foster care expenses including the training of foster care horses is tax deductible. Please keep receipts. If veterinary care exceeds $500, then Omega Horse Rescue will be responsible for those expenses upon consultation.
Fostering a horse gives them time to rehabilitate and get healthy. Most commonly these are horses that need weight, foot care, or just a mental break. Our foster horses are not usually ready to be ridden. They are looking for time to heal from whatever traumatic situation they've endured.
